Bee in the City - Wild Manchester
'Wild Manchester' was created for Bee in the City in Manchester.
He was sponsored by House of Fraser and was displayed in a bespoke designed window within the House of Fraser. The vinyl was cut out to represent a honeycomb design and he was placed on a patch of grass with wildflowers in it. Two spotlights were directed on him, so he could be seen even at night. The design was inspired by encouraging people to create a place within the city for wildlife to live, amongst the buildings and industry.
I was interviewed by I love Manchester about the bee, which was shared online and through social media.
Wild Manchester Bee sold for £8,750 in aid of the Mayor of Manchester's charity.
